Dead of Night

 

I grew up on horror and the macabre, from Stephen King novels to Tales from the Crypt and all the creepy crawlies in between. One trope that always appealed to me was the struggle against the forces of evil. Flesh and bone battling against the unnameable creatures lurching forth from Hell itself to feed on the blood of the earthly realm.

In my novel Dead of Night, I had a lot of fun exploring those elements and setting scenes of suspense and terror. Ancient artifacts and eldritch horrors interact with the lives of every day people, and what would such a story be without a creepy place in the woods?
